Considered one of the best Brazilian harpsichord players, Rosana Lanzelotte graduated at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague (Holland). She has played in important halls throughout her country as well as in Europe, including recitals at the Wigmore Hall (London), Salle Gaveau (Paris) and Carnegie Hall (NY).
Rosana has released six solo CDs, among which Nazareth and The Brazilian Harpsichord, devoted to Brazilian music of the XXth century, pointed out as one of the five best releases of the year. She has recorded the first harpsichord version of the The Seven Last Words by Haydn and the Sonatas by the Portuguese composer Pedro Antonio Avondano.
She devoted herself to extensive research regarding the composer Sigismund Neukomm, whose chamber works she recorded with Ricardo Kanji for the label Biscoito Fino. The CD has been nominated for the 2009 Latin Grammy and has been awarded the Bravo Prize. She is the author of “Sigismund Neukomm: my trip to Brazil”, a biographical essay on the period the composer spent in Brazil, where he started the chamber music tradition.
As a chamber player, she has recorded Brillante and Carlo Graziani’s Sonatas, with Antonio Meneses, as well as Amor Brazileiro, Musica Sacra do Brasil and Missa Pastoril, for the French label K617.
